The National Association for Sustainable Agriculture Australia’s (NASAA) General Manager, Mark Anderson, has announced he
will be leaving the role to take up a newly created position in the private sector focused on delivering innovative solutions for
community good.
Mr Glenn Schaube, NASAA Chair thanked Mr Anderson: “I want to thank Mark for his contribution to both NASAA and the
organics community in Australia and wish him every success for the future.”
Mr Anderson joined NASAA nearly in May 2016 bringing a wealth of experience from the non-for-profit sector.
“His innate business acumen and strong commitment to developing the burgeoning organics industry has helped to lift NASAA’s
profile in Australia, and internationally,” said Mr Schaube.
Mr Schaube said it was important time for NASAA and the Australian organic farming sector which according to an IBISWorld
report released this week is predicted to record revenue growth of 18.2% in 2018-19, to $2.2 billion, as consumer preferences
continue to shift towards organic produce.
“NASAA has long been recognised as a leader in driving organic certification and developing the sustainable agriculture
industry in Australia and overseas. Our certification adds the NASAA food production quality assurance label, allowing entry to
organic markets around the world.
“There is enormous potential to build on the organisation’s strengths and extend our offerings and service platform,” Mr
Schaube said.
